We provide local coordination for many state and federal land and water management programs and work with local governmental units to positively influence private land management decisions.
Each spring the District sells trees and shrubs to landowners for wildlife habitat development, windbreaks and reforestation.
CURRENT PROGRAMS AVAILABLE.
Groundwater Stewardship Program:
This program provides information and assessment tools for pesticide and nitrogen fertilizer users which help them identify risks to groundwater and to coordinate local, state and federal resources to help individuals reduce those risks.
Forestry Assistance:
The District has a Forester available to address your concerns about timber management, site enhancement, timber harvesting and deer management issues.
Working Together For Wildlife:
Information is available to assist you in putting a plan together for your property.
